Deborah De Corral

Meet Deborah

My name is Deborah de Corral, and I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I started out as a singer & songwriter, and still am, a Latin-Grammy nominated artist, but over time, the kitchen began to call me just as strongly. What started as hosting dinner parties at home grew into a TV show, pop-ups, and collaborations across Latin American, before I fully stepped into cooking professionally.

After moving to Miami, I opened Tigre in 2021, a restaurant that earned a place in the Michelin Guide, but most importantly, it became a space people truly connected with and loved.

What is your connection to Carolina? How long have you known each other?

I've known Caro for over 25 years! Fun fact: we were neighbors for a time in Buenos Aires, and now we live just three blocks from each other. Our connection is rooted in a deep, genuine friendship; we've supported each other through the years and across many different chapters of our lives. I'm also a longtime admirer of her work, and after all these years, a proud collector of her pieces.

What are you currently working on?

Today, I bring everything I've learned into a broad practice: private dinners, events, consulting, and creative collaborations. My cooking is ingredient-driven, and deeply connected to live fire, not just as a technique but as a form of expression.

I am the founder of Los PIngÜinos, a seasonal dining concept inspired by the spirit of the Argentinian bodegón. Each edition features a new location, a new menu, and live wood-fire cooking in full view of guests, making it one of Miamis' most anticipated culinary pop-ups.

How has your Argentinian heritage influenced the way you think, create, and lead today?

I spent much of my childhood on the family farm, which is where my love for growing food and cooking over fire began. Beyond that, being Argentinian, and a true Porteña, has shaped the way I think and create in ways I'm probably not even fully aware of.

Please list two things you miss the most about Argentina.

I miss "el barrio", stepping out of my home in Palermo and walking everywhere; grabbing a quick coffee, picking up groceries, just moving through the city on foot. That's the beauty of Buenos Aires, it's truly walkable. You're always running into someone, stopping for a quick chat. Most U.S. cities aren't set up that way, Miami certainly isn't, and it's a shame. I really miss that.

Who is the person that inspired you the most?

My grandparents have been a profound source of inspiration to me, their kindness, and the way they moved through the world with quiet humility. They treated everyone with dignity, never loud or aggressive, yet firm when it mattered. Those values are deeply ingrained in who I am, and I feel incredibly grateful to carry them with me.

What impact do you hope your work has on your community, your industry, or even other women?

I hope I get to nourish people through my food, not just in a literal sense, but in a deeper, more spiritual way. I want to have a positive impact on the lives of those who work with me, too. I believe mentorship and community-building are essential, especially in a time that feels so hyper-connected yet is often deeply isolating.

Speaking to a young women in particular, I hope to show them that they are free, strong, and fully capable of building their dreams - or reinventing themselves whenever they choose. To trust themselves, believe in their insticts, and lead with "yes" while also knowing when to say "no" and stand their ground.

How does fashion play a role in how you express yourself or show up professionaly? How would you describe your style in 3 words?

I'm not going to lie, it really doesn't, at least not in a major way. I do love fashion, though, and I enjoy looking cool, chic, and elegant in an understated way. I like to keep things simple. Three words would be: minimal, understated, & cool.

What are your favorite thing about the pieces you are wearing from this collection? Where would you like to travel with it?

I am drawn to anything in linen and cotton, and a two-piece suit is very much one of my signature looks. The embroidery is beautiful, it fits my style perfectly while adding a special, distinctive touch. Where would I wear it? Everywhere. But it's definetly coming with me to Spain this summer.
