Position: Production/Technical Designer
(Miami based)

The production manager/technical designer will oversee the full cycle of garment production—from initial development to final delivery—ensuring quality, consistency, and timeliness while maintaining alignment with the brand’s ethical and artisanal values. This person will work closely with design, product development, artisans, and factories to manage tech packs, garment construction, calendar adherence, and cross-functional coordination.

Duties + Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of apparel manufacturing operations, including lead times, transit timelines, garment and fabric construction, and vendor coordination
  • Guide the production calendar to ensure deadlines are met across design, development, and manufacturing
  • Partner with the design team to translate concepts into production-ready styles, including managing and reviewing tech packs
  • Supervise the technical department and ensure clear communication from initial product development through final production
  • Conduct fittings and provide fit comments to manufacturers to ensure accurate execution and consistent sizing across the line
  • Approve prototypes, pre-production (PP), and top-of-production (TOP) samples for quality, construction, and fit
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve production issues in collaboration with factories, ensuring timely problem-solving and garment corrections
  • Ensure high standards in fit, sample construction, and product quality, including reviewing and inspecting all samples
  • Maintain knowledge of the full product lifecycle and contribute insights from current product performance to inform future design decisions
  • Collaborate on factory scouting and material sourcing to improve cost-efficiency, production standards, and artisan partnerships
  • Support the development and execution of both woven and knit ready-to-wear collections, including swimwear
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fashion trends, market competitors, and innovative production techniques to support the brand’s vision
  • Travel domestically and internationally to meet with manufacturing partners and artisan cooperatives, supporting the execution of handmade details such as embroidery, crochet, appliqué, and specialty finishes
  • Ensure effective cross-functional communication between production, design, and artisan communities
  • Contribute to innovation through understanding and integrating print and embroidery techniques
  • Provide guidance and input on specs, grading, and technical construction details throughout the development process

Skills + Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of experience in apparel production management, preferably in high-end or artisan-focused fashion
  • Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, fit, specs, grading, and finishing
  • Proficiency in managing tech packs and collaborating with technical design teams
  • Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with global manufacturers and artisan cooperatives
  • Knowledge of AIMS or similar production software is a must
  • Spanish fluency strongly preferred; knowledge of Portuguese or Hindi is a plus
  • Passion for craftsmanship, sustainability, and ethical production
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed for on-site development and production follow-ups

(Design District location)

We are seeking a bright, enthusiastric, hard-working individual to join our Carolina K Flagship store in the Design District. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales, interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills. They should be comfortable with multitasking and be able to budget their resources in order to meet the assigned responsibilities for their role.

Duties + Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and assist them in finding products; provide product information, answer questions, and offer recommendations.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Upsell or cross-sell products to increase sales revenue
  • Process transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment. Stock racks and displays with merchandise.
  • Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers to ensure smooth operations
  • Assist with setting up special events
  • Assist with other administrative duties as assigned by management, such as sales reports or inventory counts

Skills + Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Excel & Shopify needed
  • Strong merchandising skills
  • Have broad knowledge about current fashion trends
  • Must be able to properly represent the company to their customers
  • Must possess excellent communication, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Detailed oriented and excellent organizational skills
  • Knowledge of retail math
  • Strong presentation, negotiation and leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly desired

Minimum Requirements

  • 4 year college degree
  • 1 to 3+ years in apparel sales and/or retail buying experience
