Meet Roanne & her main energy focus

Roanne Adams devotes her energy to caring for her family, supporting her RoAndCo Studio clients, and continually evolving the State of Feeling retreats and curriculum. She is also working toward a long-held dream of creating a dedicated retreat and wellness space in Mexico.

At her core, Roanne is committed to emotional and spiritual growth—seeking a deeper understanding of herself, others, and the meaning of life. Through her work and personal journey, she explores the human experience, relationships, leadership, business, parenthood, and how all of these intersect.

What is something people would be surprised to hear about you?

I've been with my husband since high school. We’ve had our ups and downs—yes, even a few breakups along the way—but he’s always been my person. In this lifetime, we've spent more years together than apart— and that says so much about the bond we’ve built and how we’ve grown side by side.

Describe your morning and evening routine

I begin my mornings by cuddling with my son and guiding my daughter through her routine. I make herself a matcha, eat breakfast, and take a moment to step outside. I really value a calm, unhurried start to the day and I usually avoid rushing whenever possible. If time allows before my first Zoom call, I'll meditate or attend a yoga class—butI prefer not to follow a rigid schedule.

In the evenings, I typically wrap up work by late afternoon, then either exercise or enjoy a walk outdoors. My husband and I cook dinner together and share a family meal withour two children, grounding the day in connection and presence.

What was the hardest mountain you had to climb?

I recently came out of a period of burnout — trying to keep my business going while also managing my 2-year-old daughter’s Type 1 diabetes. It was a season that pushed me to shed old patterns, shift my mindset, and trust—both in the universe and in my own strength to navigate it all.

It forced me to slow down. To meditate, detox, and make decisions that were truly aligned with who I am now. I had to let go of anything that no longer served me. On the other side of that chapter, I found something I hadn’t fully accessed before: a powerful sense of inner knowing—rooted in resilience, clarity, and deep self-trust.

How has nature influenced your life today?

Nature has transformed my life in profound ways. After spending 20 years in New York City, I now split my time between Los Angeles and Todos Santos, Mexico. These days, I prefer to spend no more than a few days in the city before feeling the pull to return to nature.

If someone had told me in my twenties that, by my forties, I'd be living in Mexico, building a regenerative farm garden and healing retreat with my husband, I never would have believed it. But nature has brought my home to myself. It has regulated my nervous system and added deep meaning to my family’s life. I resonate deeply with the idea that we are not separate from nature—we are nature.

How can people get motivated to take better care of our planet? Any examples on a daily basis?

I believe in expressing deep gratitude to the Earth—thanking the trees, the ocean, the birds, the pollinators, and all the living beings that make life possible. I often encourage others to spend time meditating in nature, because when we’re truly present with the natural world, a desire to care for and protect it naturally arises.

I try to be mindful of what I consume, especially when it comes to plastic. Every piece thrown away is a reminder of the harm it can cause—to wildlife, to ecosystems, and even to our own bodies through microplastics. I gently urge others to pause before making a purchase—especially on large platforms like Amazon—and to consider the value of buying less and choosing more consciously.

I also feel a deep connection between food and well-being. Eating regeneratively or biodynamically grown fruits and vegetables isn’t just about nourishment—it’s about supporting the Earth and strengthening our gut microbiomes, our health, and our vitality.

Every day, I ground myself by placing my hands and feet in the soil—reconnecting with the Earth’s rhythm. It’s a daily reminder that we’re not separate from nature. We’re in relationship with it, and caring for this planet is not just necessary—it’s sacred.
